Legos may be the ultimate classic toy. They have been loved by a wide range of age groups for many years and to keep interest high, there are always new things being added. This particular Lego building kit is for the younger set, from 2 to 5. The Duplo blocks are bigger to accommodate smaller hands that are as yet uncoordinated.
Even small hands that are not yet able to actually build something love to make Duplo towers and knock them down. Our 3 year old granddaughter loves to load up her wagon with Duplos and pull them around the house. She has a Duplo bus that she loves to fill with Lego people and her stuffed animals if she can stuff them in there.

Is It Worth the Money?
This cool construction set includes a crane with a cab that rotates and has a claw arm for picking up blocks. You get a tipper truck, and a bulldozer with tracks. Also included are 3 construction workers with helmets, traffic cones, and a wheelbarrow that works. Of course this set would be compatible with Duplo sets that you already have and any that you might buy later. This set can support a couple of children playing together. Although construction sets are traditionally aimed at boys, there’s no reason why girls wouldn’t enjoy building with this set too.

It’s been said that Lego play can be considered pre-engineering play and it has also been linked with good math skills. Lego play teaches children about things such as creative problem solving and spatial skills, not to mention creative thinking and eye-hand coordination. This just scratches the surface of the benefits that accrue to children who play with Legos. What reason could there be not to get your child some Legos?
Oh yes, stepping on those stray Legos with your bare feet. When my kids were smaller we had a rule that the Legos had to be confined to a table. No playing with them on the floor. This worked really well for us and I don’t remember ever stepping on a Lego block.
